Cutback bitumen

Cutback bitumen

Description :

Cutback bitumen is a binder made from bitumen and petroleum- or vegetable-based oil. It can also be modified with polymers. Bitumen can only be applied in liquid form.

In the case of pure bitumen, relatively high temperatures are needed to obtain suitable viscosities. Adding flux reduces the binder’s consistency so that the products can be used at a temperature of around 150°C.

Use  :

The binder is used to produce surface dressings or storable asphalt mixes whose storage life depends on the amount of flux.

Specifications  :

Our standard products comply with Belgian specifications SB250 – Qualiroute – CCT.
